Karlijn van den Broek – Research Lead
Karlijn van den Broek is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. She is an environmental psychologist focusing on people’s understanding of the complexity of environmental problems (mental models) and how this understanding influences decision-making and pro-environmental behaviour.

Jennifer Uchendu – Research Officer
Jennifer Uchendu researches on eco-anxiety and related environmental emotions in young people at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University. She is also the founder of youth-led NGO, SustyVibes where she oversees several climate resilience and advocacy projects in African and BIPOC contexts.

Cas Goetheer – Research Assistant
Cas Goetheer is a master’s student Sustainable Business and Innovation at Utrecht University. He has a great interest in environmental psychology, currently writing his master’s thesis on the link between mental models, risk perception, and the effectiveness of behavioural interventions aimed at stimulating pro-environmental behaviour.
